I read the is article at least three times, and am still not sure what the point is, but you get a little bit of everything.

Chinese American turned Muslim, US military Chaplin, busted for having porn on his computer and having an affair, caught carrying secret documents.

If only he was a pop star, and his affair wa with an underage boy ...

In summary I think what it is being said is “We screwed up...he did not do what we said.....but we need to do something so we don’t look like we are idiots targeting segments of the population...so look what we found....he had playboy images on his PC....he also had emails form some lady he is not married to....we screwed up but we are nailing this guy”

I think this is what is being said. [???1]

Either way, he is charged with espionage. A charge that is punishable by death and very well should be. If he was commiting adultery, he deserve to be thrown in prison, and will be under the Uniform Code of Military Justice. Besides if he has pornography on his computer, it means that he was not going where he was supposed to be on the internet which holds the possibilty that he could have released mass amounts of sensitive documents, and knowledge onto people that would like to see almost everybody on this board die just because we live in a certain country. The fact of the matter is that he is a commisioned officer in the US military and should have been able to think of these issues earlier. If anything he should be punished for conduct unbecoming. He went to one of the hardest colleges in the country to learn how to do nothing but get his but in a royal sling. Your tax dollars well spent once again.[thumb]

I thought that there was no determination of espionage? Was this not an exaggeration by the press, no real substantiation ever made?

If he did give sensitive information or was tied to terr groups in any way, he should pay. But for some reason I was thinking there was no connection after all but I could be wrong.

They know that he removed and transported classified documents in a wrongfull manner. Being where he was, that could be a very bad situation. He also had a skertched out schematic of the entire prison.
