drivers seat

I have a 99 Z3 that I just bought last week and trying to fix some little bugs.
The drivers seat moves back and forth about 1/2 inch on its own when you brake and accelerate . Not a big problem but would like to correct it if possable.

Any ideas??

Look here for the rocking seat fix. This site has many other Z3 items as well.

Any seat can be replaced with any seat, "manual race" or otherwise, but why?

Because these seats suck! And look and perform terrible! Why would you ever need electric seats in your own personnel car which you drive therefore you never need to move. They look way better!

because my wife drives it too, and sometimes friends. Mine are fine and work great!

Too bad you can't get the new Vader seats from the new M3. I think they would be too big. I have a Porsche 944 and I replaced the seats on it and it made a world of difference. I felt safer.
